This blog is an effort to share my reflections about the scripture that I read. I am a Christian of more than 45 years, who believes in the Triune God of Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I will not be addressing political issues, nor try to push my opinions about social issues through this blog. My belief is that Scripture has the power to transform the lives of those who will allow the Holy Spirit to penetrate their hearts with His presence. I do not have any theological training, but have had a lifelong love affair with the Bible. I still keep my red-covered Red Letter Edition King James Version Bible on my shelf that I received as a 10 year old. This was the present I asked Santa to bring me. The cover is tattered. The scriptures are underlined. The inside covers are filled with the scriptures that brought me hope and encouragement over the early years of my faith journey. Over time, I have read the Bible through in many versions and have enjoyed the insights that doing so has afforded me. God’s Word is living and active and gives me reason to sing. The Holy Spirit is my muse. My desire is to share the power and beauty of God’s Word in a prayerful, conversational manner, so that others can know that they, too, can interact with scripture on a daily basis and be drawn to God’s heart as they do so.
